Authenticator App voor Academic Earth

Om de beveiliging van uw Academic Earth-account te verbeteren, schakelt u tweefactorauthenticatie (2FA) in. Volg de onderstaande stappen:

1. Log in to your Academic Earth account

   Sign in with your username and password.

2. Open Security settings

   In account settings, look for Security, Privacy & Security, or Authentication.

3. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)

   Choose Enable, Turn on, or a similar option.

4. Choose your verification method

   Common options include:

   1. Authenticator app (recommended) Generate time-based one-time codes with Authenticator App - Vidus6.
   2. Security key (if supported) Use a hardware key (FIDO2/U2F) as your second factor.
   3. Text message (SMS) Receive verification codes by SMS (less secure than an authenticator app).
   4. Email or backup codes Use as a backup to recover access if you lose your device.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions

   Complete the 2FA setup and securely store any backup codes provided.

6. Test your setup

   Sign out and sign back in to confirm 2FA is working as expected.
