This privacy policy is applicable to the SecureAuth app (hereinafter referred to as "Application") for mobile devices and macOS, which was developed by Fatih Can YAZICI (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is provided "AS IS".
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
User Provided Information
The Application acquires the information you supply when you download and register the Application. Registration with the Service Provider is not mandatory. However, bear in mind that you might not be able to utilize some of the features offered by the Application unless you register.
The Service Provider may also use the information you provide to contact you from time to time with important information, required notices, and marketing promotions.
Automatically Collected Information
In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of device you use, your device’s unique ID, IP address, operating system, browser type, and information about how you use the Application.
Screen Recording Data (macOS)
When you use the "Scan QR code from screen" feature on macOS, the Application temporarily captures your screen that in order to detect and decode 2FA QR codes. This screen capture is processed entirely on your device and is not stored after the QR code has been processed.
From this capture, the Application only extracts the information encoded in the QR code (such as the issuer, account name, and secret key required to generate your 2FA token). The screen image itself is never saved or uploaded to any server.
The resulting 2FA account data is stored securely on your device and, if you enable cloud sync or backup, may be stored in encrypted form in the Service Provider’s cloud storage. The Service Provider does not share screen recording images or 2FA secrets with third parties.
Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?
This Application does not gather precise information about the location of your device.
This Application may collect your device's approximate location, which helps the Service Provider determine your general geographical area and use it in the following ways:
- Geolocation Services: To provide personalized content, relevant recommendations, and location-based features.
- Analytics and Improvements: Aggregated and anonymized location data helps analyze user behavior, identify trends, and improve overall performance.
- Third-Party Services: Periodically, anonymized location data may be transmitted to external services to enhance the Application and optimize offerings.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service.
The Application uses third-party services that have their own privacy policies regarding data handling. Below are the Privacy Policy links for the third-party providers used:
- Google Play Services
- AdMob
- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Firebase Crashlytics
- RevenueCat
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law;
- when disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, investigate fraud, or respond to legal requests;
- with trusted service providers who work on behalf of the Service Provider and agree to comply with this privacy policy.
What are my opt-out rights?
You can stop all information collection by uninstalling the Application. You may use standard uninstall processes available as part of your device or app marketplace.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
The Service Provider retains User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time afterward. Automatically Collected information may be retained for up to 24 months, after which it may be stored in aggregate form.
If you would like the Service Provider to delete User Provided Data, please contact contact@vidus6.com. Some data may be required for the Application to function properly.
Children
The Application does not target children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately. Parents or guardians who become aware of such collection should contact the Service Provider.
Security
The Service Provider is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards are used to protect the data processed and maintained. While reasonable security measures are implemented, no security system is foolproof.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
This privacy policy is effective as of 2025-08-01.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you consent to the Service Provider processing your information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. “Processing” includes actions such as collecting, storing, deleting, using, and disclosing information.
